The natural food coloring we use is from TruColor. They are a cutting-edge, pioneering, and innovative leader when it comes to natural coloring.

The colors are made from natural fruits, vegetables, spices, and other natural products. They are truly a clean label color alternative! 🌈

Recently, the FDA banned Red Dye 3, with an “end use“ date of Jan. 2027. We aren’t waiting for the FDA to ban an ingredient that we know can cause problems for some of our customers. we want to offer a natural option for those with artificial coloring sensitivities.

This option is considered an “upgrade,” because there is an additional cost for the coloring. There will be a slight price increase when choosing this option for your cookies.  

The performance of dye-free coloring varies from traditional food colors with synthetic dyes. When ordering Christmas cookies, the bright red we have all become accustomed to, may be more magenta. Cookies with emerald green colors may lean more toward olive green. We will strive to color-match themes and aesthetics as closely as possible, but there will be some shade variances with this option.
